The Bloomsbury Bistro is named after and inspired by the Bloomsbury Group of Virginia Woolf fame. Writers, artists, intellectuals, a loose collective of friends, began gathering on a weekly basis in the Bloomsbury district of London in the early part of the 20th century. Some of the world’s most creative and brightest minds of their time met for great conversation, food and friendship. The Bistro follows that same idea: good friends gathering in a warm, friendly setting for rousing conversation and creative, well-prepared food.
Nestled inside the Mission Road Antique Mall, The Bloomsbury Bistro is warm, comfortable and intimate with hand-painted murals, period-artwork, bright colors and surrounding antiques, making it a thoroughly delightful place to meet friends, family or business associates.
Chef/Owner Cari Jo Cavalcante has been serving up delicious lunches and fabulous desserts in the Bistro since 2001. Chef Cavalcante’s ability to combine ingredients and flavors make the lunch and dessert choices truly unique and special. The Bistro serves a variety of standard and seasonal favorites. The menu includes appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches, quiche, crepes and, of course, desserts. The menu always includes a selection of vegetarian dishes and there are Bistro Buddy choices for children 12 and under.
